  • Ben S: I'm inclined to make it easier for ourselves by not doing any food at all. Errol St is just around the corner.
  • agreed. only becuase I'm not willing to sponsor the food ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, and don't know the first thing about finding sponsorship.

  • what worked well, didn't work so well
  • Ben M: more focused tutorials... eg Packaging a Ubuntu app demo... then leading into packaging an app and the mentors then just need to 'iron out problems' rather than start from scratch.
  • Ben M: then we could have 3 or 4 seperate small tutorials
  • Internet speeds

Renaming Meetup.com group to share with Sydney?

  • That's silly. They need to be their own thing. Ideally yes, but I'm already paying > $100 per year for it, so there might be cost savings in sharing.
  • Not sure how well it deals with mixing distant locations though.
  • They would be able to run under the free of charge tier for a while I suppose.
  • Also meetup suggests meetups based on location .. so the benefit for them is limited
